JOB DESCRIPTION: MEDICAL TELEPHONE RECEPTIONIST

As the first point of contact for patients, Medical Telephone Receptionists play a key role in representing the Practice

Medical Telephone Receptionist Job Responsibilities:

Serves patients by greeting and helping them; scheduling appointments; maintaining records and accounts.

Medical Telephone Receptionist Job Duties:

· Answers the telephone; answers patient questions, addresses patient concerns, or refers inquiries to other staff.

· Optimizes patient satisfaction and providers’ time by scheduling appointments.

· Receives incoming referrals and contacts patients to schedule appointments.

· Composes and sends detailed and accurate messages to clinical staff and other departments.

· Maintains patient accounts by obtaining, entering, and updating personal and insurance/financial information.

· Protects patients’ rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal and insurance/financial information.

· Completes other tasks assigned by management.

· Maintains operations by following policies and procedures.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related tasks as needed.

  • Hours are Monday- Friday 8am to 5pm with an hour break, benefits after 90 days for full time employees
  • We require staff to have a yearly Influenza vaccine.
